Find the perfect fit for your mouthpiece with the ligature resizing tool. To improve the sound of your instrument you can adjust the tension, helping you to find the perfect amount of pressure on the reed so that the sound resonates. Loosening the adjustment nut allows the reed to vibrate more and darkens the sound, and vice versa. There are also black rubber pads in place to protect the mouthpiece from any scratches. However, these can absorb some of the sound energy, so it's possible to remove these for optimal performance.
Durable construction
Handmade from the highest quality materials, Silverstine ligatures are incredibly long-lasting. The dotted cord construction stays in excellent condition and maintains its strength to keep your reed in place. The Silverstein Original Ligature also protects your mouthpiece as the material is designed to apply less pressure to the reed, so as not to reduce the sound quality, while still securing it in place.
