A huge boost of +51dB helps to send your signal into overdrive, helping you cut through even the densest of mixes. The Chilli Preamp can also be used as a creative effect instead of on a full instrument track. When used sparingly and sprinkled over certain instruments in certain parts, you could create a unique and interesting 'megaphone' effect to make vocals or guitar parts jump out of your speakers and grab ahold of your listeners attention. A difficult beast to tame, the Chilli is suitable for a whole range of instruments from percussion, vocals, electric guitarists and more when you need something extra from your sound.

Hand-built in Spain by expert engineers and designers, the Flavour Preamp, Chilli is constructed with studio-grade components that provides crystal clear sound quality. Featuring an audio-optimised Lundahl input transformer, the Chilli boasts an ultra-fast attack and huge boosted gain level of +51dB, the most of any Flavour Preamp in the series, to give a hugely distorted and in your face sound. The transformer amplifies the signal by passing it through a copper winding around a metal core, this creates the amplification of the signal and when paired with the germanium diodes, you can expect to hear lots of even harmonics and rich colour that gives the Chilli its signature crunching sound. After being carefully constructed, each unit is calibrated before shipping to establish that the gain curves, signal to noise ratio and THD levels are up to standard, ensuring you get the best performance from your Chilli as possible.

Please note: If you want to use the Flavours Preamps with condenser microphones or with active (phantom-powered) ribbon microphones, you will have to use an external phantom power source to feed your microphone. Phantom Power will not reach the microphone with a Flavour Preamp.
