Expand the control of your Blocks. The Roli Touch Block is a compact expansion unit designed for use in conjunction with the Lightpad Block or Seaboard Block. The Touch Block gives you the ability to change the way each instrument responds to touch. When used with these blocks, the Touch Block gives you full access over the five dimensions for optimal control.


The ROLI Touch Block features 8 functions in total, including: Strike, Glide, Slide, Press, Lift, Strike Lock, Glide Lock and Piano Mode. These eight functions allow you to change every aspect of the way you play, from adjusting the sensitivity of the Lightpad and Seaboard blocks, to triggering Portamento Mode.

Customise and create

The ROLI Touch Block gives you unprecedented access to each of the five dimensions on your Lightpad or Seaboard block. The Touch Block allows you to change the way these blocks respond to touch, giving you optimal control over every playing aspect. It features the same style and configuration as other control blocks, with a range of controls that vary from changing the sensitivity of a dimension to activating Portamento mode for added flexibility.

Eight controls for expanding your expression

The Touch Block features 8 functions in total including: Strike, Glide, Slide, Press, Lift, Strike Lock, Glide Lock and Piano Mode. The Strike function allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the blocks when you strike them. At zero, each Block will automatically play each note at the maximum volume.

The Glide function allows you to adjust the sensitivity of gliding finger movements. Running at maximum, the Glide functionality will behave like a violin’s fretboard for continuous gliding. The Slide function adjusts the way the Blocks respond to up and down finger movements. The Press function adjusts the sensitivity of each Block to the pressure with which a note is held. The Lift function allows you to adjust the rate at which fingers are removed from the surface.

Strike Lock allows you to the fix the velocity of this dimension to a specific value, using the plus and minus buttons. Glide Lock acts as a Portamento mode, automatically gliding the pitch between one note and the next note played for added expression. The Piano Mode function removes all the touch response except for the Strike velocity, acting like a traditional piano.
