The Miktek C5 is a small-diaphragm pencil condenser microphone that offers a cardioid pickup pattern and super-linear, full-bodied responses. The unique MK5 capsule features a 5-micron Mylar diaphragm on which a 0.5-micron layer of evaporated gold is applied, helping to ensure an off-axis response with superior accuracy. Complete with an AMI T5 transformer and hand-selected transistors, the Miktek C5 is perfect for recording acoustic instruments such as violins, acoustic guitars, mandolins, brass, woodwind and pianos.
