The McDSP SPC2000 HD v7 HD-ready four-stage compressor plug-in with serial and parallel routing possibilities. Compatible with HD formats, the McDSP SPC2000 can run on your host processing or the DSP processors (such as the McDSP APB or the Avid HDX) to save your system from excessive CPU. Unlike any other compressor plug-in, McDSP SPC2000 offers four independently-controllable compression stage, each with a full suite of controls to balance dynamics, add punch and shape transients.

A must-have for serious audio engineers, a compressor is one of the most-used and vital processors within a studio. The McDSP SPC2000 HD v7 employs a variety of parameters and controls to provide you with complete control over shaping the instruments and sounds within your mix. Each stage can model a variety of vintage and contemporary compressor types, creating a unique character when all four stages are blended. The SPC2000 compressors have two types of Time Constant (TC) circuit algorithms to emulate the TC circuit responses (and hence sound) of other compressors: Pure Peak Detection and Adaptive Release.

Perfect for just about any instrument within a mix, you can even the dynamics of a vocal performance to maintain volume consistency, remove harsh excessive transients from percussive drums or use in stereo mode on your master buss to create a punchy mix across all channels. The proprietary BITE control lets fast transient information pass through your processing to maintain the initial punch whilst compressing the sustain, making it perfect for adding back lost attack due to heavy compression settings.
