The ideal solution for virtually any creative, the iRig Pro Quattro I/O is perfect for musicians, podcasters, streamers and content creators. Battery-powered, compact, flexible and with immaculate sound, the Quattro is the obvious choice for those looking to improve their existing mobile recording setup. Compatible with both desktop macOS and Windows as well as mobile devices on iOS and Android systems, the Quattro Pro I/O offers the ultimate solution for recording on the go. Fully MFi-certified, no complicated adapters or external equipment is needed to get your ideas down onto your handheld device. Using only the included adapter cables and USB cable, the Quattro lets you transform your handheld device into a four-channel Audio and MIDI interface for capturing your band at rehearsals, on-stage, portable podcasting or even field recordings.
The power of Quattro is displayed with its flexibility. You don't need to even use it as an interface. Instead, it can be used as a stand-alone mixer for accurate monitoring purposes. Powered by batteries, the ultra-portable and compact design makes it the perfect on-stage tool to hear your performance in stunning resolution.
Music equipment often utilises several different connections, meaning compact interface solutions cannot accommodate all the pieces of your rig. Fortunately, the iRig Pro Quattro I/O doesn't suffer the same fate. In total, you can connect up to six devices to your Quattro interface to ensure you have all the instruments of your performance together in one place. Two combination microphone/line-in XLR/TRS inputs are used to connect either vocal microphones or the stereo output from a pedalboard, synthesizer or keyboard. Two combination microphone/instrument XLR/TRS inputs offer a Hi-Z option to plug your instrument directly to your interface to use with plug-in amplifier simulations whilst taking a dry signal for editing and mixing purposes. Each pair of combination inputs features a switchable +48V Phantom Power control, meaning you can even use your favourite studio condenser microphone for detailed vocal recordings. Aside from the combination inputs, the iRig Pro Quattro I/O also encompasses stereo RCA inputs to connect playback sources such as DJ controllers, CD players or backing tracks.
No matter how you choose to listen back to your recordings in real-time or during playback after recording, the iRig Pro Quattro can accommodate. Connect to a pair of studio monitors using the stereo XLR Line outputs or plug into your Hi-Fi system with the stereo AUX connection. Ideal for either live monitoring or listening back in the late hours without disturbing your household, a stereo headphone output is included and features a dedicated level controller.
Most importantly of all, the iRig Pro Quattro I/O isn't only flexible and versatile, it also sounds immaculate. With 24-bit, 96kHz AD/DA converters, you can ensure that your signal will be translated with complete transparency, producing the cleanest sound possible for your recordings. You don't need to worry about any detail being missed here, the iRig Pro Quattro will let you play with a maximum expression no matter how dynamic your performance.
Four adjustable gain dials are employed to give independent control for each input, as well as individual dials for headphone and main stereo output levels. Ensuring that you don't drive your signals into unwanted distortion and clipping, an easy to read five-stage LED meter for each input and output gives you a visual representation of your levels. Even if the levels escape you and a large audio spike clips your input and output signal, a switchable limiter gives you peace of mind knowing that your recording won't suffer.
A three-position toggle is mounted to the front of the Quattro I/O, allowing you to switch between Multi, Stereo and Mono modes. Where most streaming devices come with a standard stereo setup, the iRig Pro Quattro I/O goes one step further and provides a multichannel mode. As you'd expect, the stereo and mono modes take all four inputs and merge them down into a single stereo or mono file for recording purposes. Ideal for conserving the number of tracks within a session, these modes allow you to speed up your workflow in post-production by only editing a single stereo or mono file. Crucially, in stereo and mono mode, any unused inputs will take a 'safety' recording, whereby the input level is reduced by -12dB to ensure that any unexpected peaks and clipping in your recording won't affect the integrity of your signal.
However, the power of Quattro I/O is unlocked when switching to Multi mode. Switching to this mode lets your device record each of the four inputs independently, allowing you to edit, mix and master your tracks in post-production using external plug-ins to get the very best sound possible for your project.
Coupled with the highly diverse range of applications, inputs and functionality, the iRig Pro Quattro I/O is extremely portable. Compact enough to fit in any travel bag, backpack, gig bag or instrument case, you can take your recording experience with you wherever you and your instrument are. Powered by the included four AA batteries, the simple USB connection to your mobile device allows you to record your performance without the constraint of power supplies. Whether you're in the rehearsal room, on stage, at home or wherever inspiration strikes, the iRig Pro Quattro I/O makes sure you will always be ready to capture lightning in a bottle.
