Constructed to accurately recreate vintage British-style hardware EQs, the Fat Bax Plug-in delivers classic analog warmth and detail, making it ideal for mastering applications. Traditionally known for its smoothness and transparency, the Bax EQ will enhance the sound of your track whilst blending naturally to the sound, giving it a completely transparent and seamless sound. An aggressive high-frequency is perfect for adding brightness to dull tracks, especially useful for bringing out the articulation of vocal performances in the mix without increasing the level and offsetting the balance. The low-frequency dial is the perfect solution for mix-buss processing, controlling the unruly bass frequencies that can create a 'boxy' sound and eat up headroom.
Designed with a simple and sleek interface, Comp 160 will quickly become your go-to compressor. No unnecessary complications or menus, just a refined interface that gives you the parameters you need to get the job done on virtually any instrument that enters your session. Boasting fixed attack and release times with only Output Gain, Compression and a switchable Threshold level parameters, the Fat Comp 160 lets you take the guesswork out of your processing. This makes it easy to dial in punchy rock bass, consistent and levelled vocals and powerful drums. Whether you're a producer or mixing engineer, the PreSonus Comp 160 lets you achieve a professional level of volume throughout your entire mix or individual tracks without ever breaking into a manual.
Using a completely unique design, the Fat Everest C100A delivers stunning dynamic retention whilst maintaining the perfect level. What sets the Everest C100A apart from the rest is the automatic amplification of your audio signal, bringing back any gain that was lost through compression. This way, your track level remains constant and is processed dynamically as opposed to a traditional compressor which acts when a threshold is exceeded.
Traditionally, this American-style limiting amplifier has internally fixed attack and release times, dynamically moving to your input source. Whilst still being source-dependent, Everest boasts a switchable attack and release time to cater to your instrument and mix perfectly. With an average attack time of 10ms, Everest performs exceptionally on transient-heavy instruments such as drum shells. The non-linear release makes the Everest C100A compressor perform in a constant state, increasing release time depending on the strength of your input signal. This fluidity means that the Everest is the ideal candidate for mastering and mixing applications, ensuring that your track remains glued together with a consistent level and response whilst preserving the dynamics for a punchy and powerful sound.
The PreSonus Fat Class Comp will quickly become your go-to in the studio, delivering the versatility needed to function on virtually any instrument in any genre and style. A smooth and transparent character is met with versatile controls comprised of wide-ranging ratio and recovery parameters to tailor to virtually any sound source in your projects. Designed to be the only studio compressor plug-in you'll ever need, the musicality of Fat Class Comp Plug-in blends seamlessly with your track. Whether that's a solo piano performance, delicate female lead vocal, soaring distorted electric guitar or a pounding drum kit, you can enjoy precise compression with character.
Covering the entire spectrum, the Fat Vintage 3 EQ is divided into three sections. A low-shelf that ranges between 35-220Hz adds power and energy to weak and anaemic tracks or can be used to tame unwanted rumble from your room microphones. The most important part of your signal, the midrange features a semi-parametric design with a five-step frequency selection from 03.5 to 7.2kHz and includes an additional Hi Q function to tighten the Q-factor. Ideal for complicated midrange instruments such as vocals and electric guitar, the Vintage 3 allows you to nail the musicality of your melodic instruments. Adding brightness and articulation, the Vintage 3 features a high-shelf ranging from 10 - 16kHz, ideal for detailed violins and female lead vocals. This is paired in tandem with a low-pass filter that ranges down to 5kHz to effectively eliminate any unwanted sibilance from boosting the high-frequency band.
Spanning the largest region of your frequency response, the mid-range is arguably the most important aspect of any instrument or mix. This is where the musicality lies, moulding the overall tone and character that will shape how you hear your track. The Tube Mid EQ Plug-in specialises here, allowing you to tailor the mid-range response of your instrument or mix, remaining musical no matter how much attenuation or boost you're applying. The interaction between the gain boost or attenuation and the width dial creates a unique experience that you simply don't get from precise digital EQ plugins. The warmth and smoothness are prominent, helping to tame harsh high frequencies in distorted guitars, vocals or even cymbals or to remove honky and overpowering midrange from drum shells, synthesizers or acoustic guitars.
A common compressor-type, the Fat Tube P1B Compressor Plug-in captures the exacting sonic imprint and character from the hardware counterpart an d distils it down into plug-in format. An industry mainstay, the optical compressor offers a unique response and tonality when compared to other compressors. Designed so that the input signal directly correlates to the output, the P1B Compressor is source-dependent with the input frequency affecting the reaction and tonality of the compression. This design inserts an amount of non-linearity to create non-standardised results, creating a unique experience for each instrument and mix you run through your PreSonus Tube P1B.
Dating as far back as the 1950s, the Fat FC670 is an accurate recreation of a vintage hardware compressor/limiter that's often cited as the 'holy grail' of outboard studio equipment. Comprised of a stripped-back interface that includes only the basic necessities, no matter how you set your FC670 compressor, you'll enjoy transparent compression with the signature analog warmth you get from hardware equipment. While Attack/Release controls are not present, FC670 employs a single Time Constant control. While there may be only six settings to choose from, FC670 is much more flexible than what meets the eye. This control affects the release time of your compression, ranging from 0.3s to 25s between steps 1- 6. Steps 5 and 6 are program-dependent and feature automatic functions, dynamically changing with the input source material, providing fast recovery for short duration peaks and long recovery when the program level remains high.
Brimming with character and life, the Fat Brit Comp Plug-in is the perfect solution for mix-bus (2-bus) processing. The VCA-style compressor has a unique feature that other compressors simply can't achieve. Appropriately named 'glue' settings in music audio communities, the British-style Fat Brit Comp plug-in is the perfect recipe for creating cohesion in your tracks, eliminating any disjointedness between instruments within your mix. Perfect for mixes with lots of layers of different instruments, each occupying a different sonic space or for sparse instruments to reduce the separation between instruments, creating a glued mix using the Fat Brit Comp will give your productions the consistency and professional edge you need.
Building on the foundation of vintage hardware EQs, the Fat Alpine EQ takes inspiration from '60s-style three-band EQs. Blending seamlessly with the original sound, the Fat Alpine EQ Plug-in is ideal for carving your audio track to create space within your mix. Each band features a wide frequency range, allowing you to hone in on specific problem frequencies or musical content to boost or cut as needed to fit within your mix. Ranging from 50Hz to 15kHz, the Fat Alpine EQ Plug-in ensures you can carve virtually any instrument within your mix with stunning accuracy, whether that's low-end heavy bass drums and bass guitar to articulate and detailed viola or lead vocals. With +/-12dB of gain per band, you are provided with plenty of scope to shape your sound musically, without ever needing more gain per channel to boost or attenuate.
Delivered in a streamlined interface, the Solar 69 EQ plug-in is an authentic replica of a vintage British hardware EQ, delivering a silky smooth response that lends itself to a myriad of instruments. Presented in a three-band fashion, the Solar 69 features a multifunctional bass control, operating as both a four-stage frequency selector and a five-step high-pass filter centred at 50Hz. Up to +/-15dB of gain for the low-end is plenty enough to carve out unwanted rumble in drum room microphones to keep your signal clean or to add power and punch to bass drums. A midrange band offers eight frequency steps ranging between 700Hz to 6kHz. This wide frequency range is ideal for working with complicated instruments with overtones such as a distorted electric guitar or even the human voice, ensuring you can hone in on a specific frequency range to get the best sound from your performance. Up to +/-15dB of gain is on tap here alongside a Peak/Through switch, letting you alter the response of your midrange band. Perfect for adding air and brightness without sibilance, the upper-frequency band is fixed to 10kHz.
