Dual 9.5-Inch MSP+ Long-Throw Woofers

The Dynaudio 18S Subwoofer is a premium-grade active subwoofer featuring dual 9.5-inch hybrid MSP+ long-throw woofers. The two woofers have been designed exclusively for the 18S. The woofers are comprised of aluminium rather than the standard Magnesium Silicate Polymer Material. This provides exceptional audio fidelity and an even more powerful low-end response, recreating bass frequencies in immense detail. The wide frequency response (16Hz-230Hz) ensures optimal accuracy when it comes to mixing the low-end of your tracks. The subwoofer is powered by a 500W, state-of-the-art Class D amplifier module, providing depth and exceptional low-end power.

Advanced DSP Control

One of the most unique features of the Dynaudio 18S is the integrated advanced DSP control with presets for a wide range of Dynaudio studio monitors. This allows you to match the subwoofer with other Dynaudio Studio Monitors, creating a powerful audio reproduction system, ideal for mixing and mastering applications. The custom performance maps allow you to match instantaneously with other Dynaudio Studio Monitors, assessing each of the monitors’ acoustic characteristics. The technology is also future-proof, complete with firmware updates every time Dynaudio adds new studio speakers to their line-up for added convenience.

Crossover Filters & Parametric EQ

As well as being able to match with other Dynaudio Studio Monitors, the integrated crossover filters allow you to match with other brands of studio monitors. The crossover frequency ranges from 50HZ – 150Hz, giving you more than enough room to configure the subwoofer with your studio monitors. The unit also boasts a three-band parametric EQ, allowing you to attenuate the subwoofer to defeat room modes, providing advanced sonic accuracy.

Design & Connectivity

The compact and robust design of the 18S, makes it ideal for a range of spaces and applications. The subwoofer boasts a dual-opposing driver design principle complete with time alignment controls for adjusting the subwoofer according to the position. There is also a Master/Slave feature for daisy-chaining with multiple subwoofers. It also features a range of connectivity including RCA and XLR connectors for connecting a range of equipment to your subwoofer.
