The Antimatter Audio Brain Seed is a real time step recorder in a eurorack format, allowing you to record from 1 to 1000 steps in variable mode. Record as many steps as you desire and the Brain Seed can replay them back. Its primary function is to be a step recorder that provides sequences for modules. The Brain Seed allows you to record 8/16/32 steps in fixed length mode with a record (Reseed) gate input and button enabling you to remotely control or automate the recording. The Brain Seed also has a save feature allowing you to store and load back up your settings and sequences later. Additionally, the Brain Seed can be a simple quantiser, random generator, motion detector, mono arpeggiator and more.

Length Mode

The Brain Seed step recorder features a length button allowing you to set the length mode for the sequence. When off with no colour illuminated the Brain Seed is set in variable length mode enabling you to record up to 1000 steps, and is reset each time ReSeed is engaged. Choose between 8/16/32 step fixed length mode with a multi-colour LED to represent what length mode you are in.

Various Playback

The mode button allows you to determine the playback mode of the Brain Seed. You can either play in linear, or bounce/pendulum mode where the sequence will play forward then backward, or randomly by CV.

Special Features

The Brain Seed features a few added special features. One of them is the ability to save its current state. It saves everything to its internal memory and when you reboot your modular you get your settings and sequences back. The next feature is freeze that holds the sequence and producing no new triggers, ideal for creating complex new rhythms by breaking up the sequence.
