The TDA-2 is a dual channel, stereo DI unit featuring a OEP/Carnhill transformer. The TDA-2 perfectly balances the warm, vintage sound with new, reliable components. An extended frequency range, provided by the OEP/Carnhill transformer ensures every detail of your performance is captured.

All the high quality components are encased in an aluminium enclosure. This means the Class-A FET circuity, providing the cleanest sound and tone, is protected. All of this makes the TDA-2 perfect for frequent use in both studio and live environments.

Class-A circuitry

The Telefunken TDA-2 Active DI box is reminiscent of classic audio hardware. An all-discrete Class-A FET circuit ensures the cleanest possible signal is passed through the TDA-2. The distinct, warm sound the Class-A FET circuity creates can be associated with many vintage units. This is coupled with modern components to ensure quality and retain the natural tone of the instrument. A perfect balance of reliability and quality.

Premium-quality components

The TDA-2 Active DI features a number of high-quality components. Driving the sound is a custom wound OEP/Carnhill output transformer. The benefit to this is an extended frequency range (20Hz – 70kHz) that will capture every nuance of your instrument. This is achieved with extremely low distortion and noise. The TDA-2 is powered by +48v phantom power, indicated by an LED on the front panel.

Compact, rugged design

All these quality components need to be protected. A compact, rugged design makes the TDA-2 suitable for both live and studio applications. The front-panel features heavy-duty switches, allowing for a -15dB pad and ground lift option. The rugged, aluminium enclosure is designed to withstand daily use for prolonged periods. The enclosure also protects the recessed front and rear panels, protecting all inputs and the controls of the TDA-2.
