The Roland V-02HD Multi-Format Video Mixer combines three separate modules into a single unit. The V-02HD provides you with a video switcher, scaler and expander; perfect for a wide range of applications.

Switching video sources becomes easier than ever with the simple yet intuitive design. The two-button switcher retains a pixel-accurate display resolution, ensuring optimal visual integrity. It provides you with a cross-dissolve switchover, providing a professional and eye-catching way to blend between two computer sources.

The onboard I/O connectivity acts as a scaler for multiple video formats and visual sources. Combining two HDMI sources can cause compatibility issues. The integrated scalers eliminate this, resizing them to fit your given display and outputting in a new resolution for optimised compatibility.

The V-02HD is perfect for a variety of applications from boardroom presentations to audio/visual work and even live broadcasts. Its portable size and robust design make it ideal for live work and studio work alike.

Realtime, dynamic visual effects

One of the most revolutionary features of the Roland V-02HD is the ability to incorporate professional-grade effects in real-time. Adding effects can take lots of time and knowledge, not to mention a comprehensive editing suite. Roland eliminates this with its 14 on-board visual effects. The more complex effects are made easy with the ability to add visual FX directly to the camera’s output.

You can use this to blur out a person’s face for privacy reasons, incorporate images, text and other visual effects. Each video effect has adjustable parameters, so you can customise the results, as well as five additional composition effects. You can do everything from using a green screen with the Key effect, to creating a separate inset window the PinP capability.

Onboard audio processing tools

In addition to the visual effects, the V-02HD features onboard audio editing tools. This helps to bridge the gap between your audio and visual work. Included is a three-band equalizer, as well as dynamic settings. The audio effect library comes complete with a range of presets designed to optimise your audio performance whilst filming. They can be used for eliminating wind noise whilst filming outdoors, optimise your audio for interviews and even for ambient micing.

Ready with a backup plan

No matter what you plan for, sometimes input sources can fail at the worst time possible. Sometimes there just isn’t time to replace equipment, and the V-02HD Video Mixer has got your back. Even when your input sources aren’t working, the V-02HD provides the ability to load a still image as a placeholder. You can simply switch to the still image in case of emergency.

Anything that possesses a 1/4-inch jack or 1/4-inch TRS jack will connect to the FS-6. You can also connect stereo sources via the stereo input jack. You can also set each of the switches to latch or momentary modes depending on your needs. The robust and compact design makes the unit highly portable, ideal for transporting and live performances.
