The Special Edition Preamp E570 manages to squeeze 4-channels of valve tone into 2U of rack space and gives you all the tonal sculpting options to cover every gain level and sonic style imaginable. If you value real tube tones, the ENGL E570 features 4 ECC83 / 12AX7 valves to provide the organic warmth and natural overdrives that only valves can deliver. It offers all this tone in a versatile 4 channel package with MIDI control over main functions so that you have unique sounds ready to access at the push of a footswitch.

4 Channels Of Endless Potential

The E570 Special Edition has two lead channels with one crunch and one clean channel. The drive channels feature optional switches to provide additional overdrive flavours so that you can cover everything from crystal clean, right through vintage and classic rock tones, up to modern day metal sounds. Each channel has part shared/part independent EQ with even more buttons for tonal shelves and contours to give you boosts and cuts at different frequencies. The tonal sculpting is almost beyond description and will need a great amount of time to truly reach every possibility in this unit. If that isn’t enough, the 3 overdrive channels can be routed through a noise gate to give professional dampening which will be ideal for loud stage environments with high gain sounds or single coil guitars.

The Routes To Tonal Joy

The E570 includes all the routing capabilities that you could hope for, allowing you to power guitar cabs whilst simultaneously sending balanced outputs to a mixing desk or recording device. It also features an FX loop to utilise your own pedals / rack effects and offers cabinet emulation for sending a direct signal to font-of-house. The preamp also allows for optional footswitch control of all channels, and can be programmed to offer 128 MIDI patches with control over the 4 modes and various switches. This gives you ultimate control and flexibility, designed to fit into any musical situation or gigging environment.
