Different instruments and audio devices produce different signal levels, so having the right input attenuation makes connecting your equipment much easier. The DI10A features a three-position pad switch offering 0, -20, and -40 dB attenuation, allowing you to work with guitar, line, and speaker-level sources. It also matches signal level and impedance without placing unnecessary load on the connected source. With XLR and 1/4-inch jack inputs, a 1/4-inch thru connection, and a balanced Neutrik XLR output, you have flexible options for integrating the DI box into your existing setup.
Ground loop hum can be frustrating when you're connecting several pieces of audio equipment. Thankfully, the DI10A includes an Earth Lift switch to help eliminate this unwanted noise. Its fully transformer-isolated design also provides electrical separation between the input and output connections. For power, you can use phantom power supplied by your mixing console or an optional internal 9V battery (sold separately). If phantom power fails, the DI10A automatically switches to battery operation, provided a battery is installed. This gives you an additional layer of reassurance when you're working with live audio.
