Key Features
The Tenderfoot SVF-1 State Variable Filter is a hugely flexible Eurorack variable filter in both sound and functionality, housed in a compact 8HP design for simple integration to your existing modular setup. Covering a whole range of sounds from buttery and soft to gritty and dirty with the push of a button and four independent filtering types with dedicated outputs, the SVF-1 can be your one-stop-shop for your modular filtering needs. Voltage-controlled cut-off and resonance allows for simple patching possibilities, while the resonance can be driven into self-oscillation when driven and features a 1V/Octave input for use as a sine wave VCO. Featuring a Q-control with CV control for the resonance to broaden or narrow the range of frequencies, you can hone in your sound to fit your music perfectly.
A drive control with unique "politeness" circuit will add two flavours of grit and character to your filtering to push the resonance beyond the pale! Experience the dark and metallic sounds of contemporary electronic music and add this into your mixes with the SVF-1.

Featuring a huge range of options and flexibility, the SVF-1 ranges in sound from pleasant and subtle to outright down and dirty. Combining almost every filter type you could need in one compact 8HP module, the SVF-1 provides you with low-pass, band-pass, high-pass and notch filters which can all be used simultaneously via the dedicated outputs.
Both the cutoff frequency and resonance control are fully CV controllable with attenuators, offering a huge array of flexibility when combined with your existing Eurorack modules. An additional 1V/oct input lets the SVF-1 track melodic sequences along with the input oscillator, or can be used to sequence the pitch when self-oscillating. The resonance self oscillates at high settings, so the SVF-1 can function as a sine wave oscillator.
The SVF-1 stands out from the crowd of variable Eurorack filtering options with the addition of the "Politeness" circuit. An extremely unique feature, this works in tandem with the drive control to add extra dirt and character to your signal. The standard drive control adds distortion to the resonance dial and is only activated if you have the resonance turned up, allowing you to drive the resonance beyond its normal limits, while the "politeness" circuit adds two different flavours of distortion characteristics. Featuring two modes, "more polite" is highlighted with a pink LED and softens the sound allowing for a more mellow approach, while the "less polite" is highlighted with a blue LED and will add additional harmonic distortion and push the self-oscillating sine wave into a harsher waveform, allowing for unique and flavourful sound design.
