The Eventide Misha Eurorack Sequencer and Instrument (28HP) provides a unique approach to sequencing, utilising interval-based processing which allows you to create and play melodies. Great for live performances but also suited for the studio, Misha provides an innovative way to generate musical ideas, melodies and more. Not only is it a sequencer, it doubles up as a unique instrument in its own right, providing 100 factory scales and space to store up to 100 custom scales of your own.


You're presented with three different ways to control/create sound including via MIDI, control voltage or outputting waveforms via the audio jack. The intuitive layout makes it easy to navigate each parameter, with the module featuring a centre-based display that allows you to see your notes and melodies play in real-time. The tone-row-based sequencer takes inspiration from classic composition techniques which are normally reserved for serial music. You can also create variations in rhythm using clock division for added sonic flexibility.


Equipped with a wide variety of hands-on controls, Misha allows you to manipulate sound and capture inspiration when it strikes. The module also features four user-assignable buttons as well as space for storing up to 18 user presets. You can save/load scales and settings using a Micro-SD card or use the micro-USB connection to update firmware via the Eventide Device Manager. A truly unique take on sequencing

Unlike conventional sequencing modules, Misha utilises the esoteric tone-row sequencing style which takes inspiration from classical/serial music. Its ever-evolving ability to create unique melodies and tonal rhythms makes it one of the most innovative sequencer modules available today. Utilising an interval-based approach to creating melodies, Misha is the perfect tool for creating melodies on the fly. Its intuitive layout and user-friendly controls make it perfect for live performances and studio work. Misha provides three different ways to generate sound – via MIDI, control voltage (three independent gate/CV pairs) or outputting waveforms via the audio jack.

Not only can you use the onboard buttons to punch in your notes, Misha provides you with external control templates so you can use a MIDI or QWERTY keyboard to control your sound. The eight cascading, backlit internal buttons allow you to denote a change in pitch from the previous sounded note equal to the selected number of steps away in the current key and scale. You can also scroll through different musical keys using the ‘Key’ knob.

Scales, controls and connectivity

At the centre of Misha is a crisp LCD screen that displays the current key, scale, octave and a solfege wheel to provide real-time visual feedback. You can create rhythmic changes using internal clock division or use it to activate the auto-play sequencer. In this mode, Misha will playback your Tone Row sequence as soon as you have recorded it and even edit/modify your sequences in various different ways. Utilise up to 100 pre-loaded scales or incorporate your own using one of the 100 user/custom scale slots available. Take your control a step further by assigning functions to one of the four assignable buttons available. This allows you to customise the way you control your sequences and parameters, with User 3/4 buttons also featuring alternate -/+ functions.

Misha also features a wide range of connectivity including a clock input (for syncing to external sources) and an audio output for the internal oscillator. You can also achieve polyphony via the three CV outputs or MIDI. 12 patch points are also available including trigger and CV connections. There is also MIDI I/O connectivity which allows you to generate/receive MIDI notes, velocity, pitch bend, CC and PC messages. The onboard micro USB connection allows you to support USB host/devices and update the module’s firmware.
