High quality build

When building the CP1, Yamaha took great care in ensuring you receive a premium quality product. Time was spent assessing the sound quality of all 88 wooden keys to achieve a perfectly accurate tonal balance across the entirety of the keyboard. This quality extends to the accurate reproduction of each pianos’ harmonic action of the strings and soundboard when responding to pedal operation.

Thanks to the painstaking approach and expertise of Yamaha, the CP1 is fully capable of delivering warm, balanced piano tones, ideal for solo performances alongside ensemble performances.

Spectral Component Modelling

Unlock your creativity through the CP1's ability to build acoustic and electric pianos from scratch. The use of Spectral Component Modelling technology makes easy work of creating unique, original sonic textures by sourcing your favourite aspects of each piano type, amplifier and effects, enabling you to create sounds that will inspire and enhance any production or live performances.

Yamaha have gone above and beyond most manufacturers when analysing the sound-producing mechanism of classic electric pianos, providing various Rhodes, Wurlitzers, CP80/88 and DX emulations. Presets which include additional processing and amp/speaker simulations are wholly convincing, empowering you with even more tonal variety that allows you to focus on what’s important – the music, without the need for tweaking.

The combination of sampling and modelling technology enabled Yamaha to optimise the tone generation of each of the 17 sampled instruments, ensuring that every nuance of your touch is translated into expressive, highly musical tone.
