Key Features
Animate your sound. The Bastl Instruments and Casper Electronics Ikarie's innovative approach to filtering makes it a worthy addition to any modular set-up. It enables you to create effortless transitions between low and high pass filters via the use of a single knob. The on-board two parallel filter cores can be adjusted in real-time to work in either stereo or mono. They can even be "chained" together in order to provide a perfect 24dB filter.
Thanks to the sharp, piercing resonance it emits, the Ikarie is perfect for cutting through the densest performances and arrangements to ensure you're heard. Explore a wide range of sound design opportunities by making the most of the on-board VCA, CV, over panning and resonance control. Should you desire you can even overload the input to achieve highly unique saturation style effects. Despite its compact size, this module does it all!

Highly interactive. Every control on the Ikarie's interface is designed so that they affect each other. A good starting point for new users would be a clean setting, to achieve this, ensure that all the controllers are positioned to the centre and that the resonance fader is set to minimum.
Access to the left and right filters is made easy by the on-board inputs and outputs. These can be used either as a stereo pair, or for mono multi-peak resonance formant filtering possibilities. The two filters are incredibly versatile and can be set-up in either parallel or series. Using the latter is a great way to increase the steepness of the cut off to add extra definition to your sound.
