Key Features
Product Ref: 82592
The Stone Deaf FX EP-1 allows you to control the scooped filter from the Stone Deaf parametric or Paracentric circuitry within their pedals. This enables you to achieve high-quality phasing sounds that you can control with your feet. The filter is controlled by the speed of the sweep of your foot. This is the opposite of Wah filtering.
The EP-1 also enables you to use the pedal as a Wah. You can achieve those classic Wah tones by controlling the boosted filter of the Stone Deaf Parametric or Paracentric circuitry within their pedals. Featuring a wide frequency sweep, the EP-1 can go much further than a standard Wah pedal, giving you a huge variety of Wah tones when combined with the bandwitch switch.
This custom-built pedal gives you the ability to control your bass, mid, and treble boosts and cuts on the fly as you play, giving you an enormous tonal landscape to play with.
The EP-1 is equipped with a host of unique features that make it stand out against any other expression pedal. The Adjustable Sweet allows you to control the resistance of the sweep using two bolts at either side of the tread plate. You can tighten or loosen the bolts to increase or reduce sweep resistance. On top of that, the EP-1 features a Frequency control knob. This enables you to dial in the exact same setting of the Frequency knob on your parametric or paracentric Stone Deaf pedal that you're controlling, on the EP-1. The advantage of this is that you can go back to your original setting on the pedal quickly and easily once you have finished using the expression pedal. It is also equipped with an LED light to aid in determining when the EP-1 is engaged or bypassed. This LED is powered by the 9V battery that can easily be replaced in the easy-access battery drawer which requires no screwing or unscrewing to reach, or via the 9V power socket which required a standard 9V positive polarity power supply.
