The SPL Reducer is a 200W, point-to-point hardwired power soak. The SPL Reducer is designed to reduce the power output of your guitar or bass amplifier. This gives you the ability to overdrive a wide range of amps, without the need of having to be too loud. The SPL Reduce was developed together with amp specialists from Tonehunter to achieve the best possible performance. Connected between guitar amp heads and the speaker, the Reducer coverts the amp?s electric power into heat. The passive design ensures accurate sound reproduction, whilst maintain the frequency response curve. The Reducer is also neutral, providing only a volume control.

Handwired Power Soak

Designed to lower the power output of your guitar of bass amp, the SPL Reducer makes it easier than ever to overdrive your sound without having it too loud. Featuring 200W of power, the SPL Reducer gives you versatile control over your power output, working between the guitar/bass amp head and the speaker. The Reducer works by converting the amplifier’s electric power into heat. The power is then reduced with resistors, requiring no additional power supply. You can also set the impedance with amp output with a three position switch.

Compact Design

The compact and simple design makes it ideal for live and studio applications. Its simple yet robust construction was developed with amplifier specialists from Tonehunter, to ensure optimal performance. The vintage-style aesthetic features a three-position impedance switch as well as a large 7db reduction control and a reduction switch for optimal control.
