This model comes equipped with Gretsch's Broad’Tron BT65 pickups, that were designed by Tim Shaw. Located at the neck and bridge position, these pickups effortlessly capture the guitar’s acoustic sonic palette and reproduces powerful mids, extended lows and a superb clear, yet smooth high-end. In addition, it also includes a no-load master tone pot with a Squeezebox paper-in-oil capacitor, as well as master volume with treble bleed circuit, for ultimate tonal flexibility and control.
Resonant tonewoods
The Gretsch G6228FM has been manufactured with a hollow body, which provides a lightweight build alongside a superb resonance. It has been crafted from mahogany, with a tiger flame maple top, in order to produce a strong, balanced mid-range with rich harmonics. Finally, the Bourbon Stain gloss finish allows the natural grain to shine through, providing stunning aesthetics and a protective coating.
Maximum comfort
Well-crafted into a ''U'' profile, the guitar's neck provides players with comfortable playability, making it the perfect choice for those who play with their thumb on the back or side. This luxurious piece has been sculpted from mahogany and then topped with an ebony fretboard, which adds a warm resonance to the overall tone.
Sculpted for perfection
This model also comes with a Graph Tech Tusq nut which is impregnated with PTFT, providing a smooth substance which controls the amount of grip that the nut has on the strings. A Tusq nut delivers a rich tone, along with hidden harmonics by transferring your strings vibrations efficiently to the guitar.
Its Anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge has featured on many Gretsch guitars over the years, due to its reliable tuning. Introduced in the early 1970s, this innovative bridge offers superb, individual intonation for each string, with its six adjustable saddles.
