An explosia of tone that's as hot as magma. The Jackson Pro Christian Andreu RTR22 comes like a shooting star from the sky to meet all your riffing needs. This monster genuinely sound like the heaviest matter of the universe. The high-output humbuckers can handle anything you want to throw at them, so crank that gain, and thrash away. No sign of planned obsolescence here, this guitar is as solidly constructed as they come. With its minimalist aesthetic, the focus is on tone and generating sheer heaviness. The one pickup, one knob combo is striking visually, and effective pragmatically. Never find yourself stranded with a guitar that lacks bite again. Unlock a liberation of tone with the RTR22.
As Gojira's sound has progressed as a group, so has Christian's playing- his guitar needs to be able to match that versatility. The ebony fingerboard is ideal for lightning fast runs; due to the very tight grains in the wood, ebony does not require a finish and this gives the fingerboard a remarkably slick, fast playing quality which perfectly suits heavier genres and playing styles. Tonally, ebony is bright and responsive, for articulate highs and well-defined low end. The string-through-body design adds a healthy amount of sustain whilst simultaneously adding to the minimalist style- no frills here, just mammoth tones. These tones are unbridled right the way up the neck, with unrestricted access to all 24 frets giving you extended range and scope for runs and riffs.
