A whole new take on the muff pedal. The Ground FX Koloss offers a new intuitive design approach to achieving aggressive high gain distortion. Intrigued? You should be. You get an additional mid-pot that interacts with the tone pot, a “saturation” control, and three (yes three) gain stages. The first two of these stages would be how you expect, based on SI-diodes and ply you with very gloomy distortion/fuzz sounds while the third stage brings some GE-diodes in the circuit which means a thick, deep low end.
