Solid Mahogany Body, Quilted Maple Top

The SMT’s body is crafted from solid mahogany. This dense wood delivers soft, warm tones that help keep the guitar’s overall tonality balanced. The mahogany fills up the low end and offers appealing highs, making it more than suitable for low and alternative tunings. The body is topped with quilted maple to add clarity to your high frequencies, as well as having a stunningly intricate grain.

Maple Neck, Rosewood Fingerboard

The maple and rosewood combination gives the guitar exceptionally thick, firm lows and a sizzling high end. The maple neck offers bright characteristics, tightening up the guitar's overall tone and adding some cut for a midrange snappy attack. The rosewood fingerboard adds complexity to the maple's tone, giving it some warmth while opening up the mids. The maple and rosewood work together to provide a punchy edge when the strings are hit hard, but become clear with light to medium picking.

Habanero Classic Humbuckers

The SMT features a set of Habanero’s humbuckers, designed with slip coils to give you the ability to switch between humbucker tones to single coil sounds. The two PAF type humbuckers provide a high output screamer, perfect for metal and heavy music. The bridge humbucker delivers a fatter tone than the neck humbucker, allowing for a more defined and dynamic tone for chords and rhythm. Both pickups produce incredible tones that are suitable for a range of musical style, making the GJ2 SMT a very versatile guitar.
