About Stephen Carpenter

Stephen Carpenter is a guitarist, songwriter, and founding member of the American alternative metal band, Deftones. Over the years, Carpenter’s guitar style evolved, incorporating elements of DJ scratching, hip-hop, and ambient music. His work with the band has been praised for its intricate, layered textures and complex harmonies. In addition to his work with Deftones, Carpenter has collaborated with a number of other musicians, including Ozzy Osbourne, Cypress Hill, and Sevendust. With his signature seven-string guitars and unique style, Carpenter has become one of the most influential guitarists in alternative metal.
