Key Features
Welcome to the driving seat, A perfect metal bass tone chain in one box. The Darkglass ADAM Aggressively Distorting Advanced Machine is so much more than an amazing bass distortion pedal. Periphery's Adam 'Nolly' Getgood worked with Darkglass to painstakingly recreate each component part of his world-famous bass guitar sound, starting with five distinct distortion modes. Whether you want to add a little bite and character, crunch through the wall of guitars, or roar with screaming, saturated feedback, every base is covered in classic Nolly style.
The internal chain includes a full-featured, FET-style compressor - again with five modes - and a powerful 6-band EQ, so you can tame that crushing tone. There are five onboard cab simulations to choose from, so you can plug directly into the mixing desk with no need for an amp at all. An impressive USB-C recording interface and bluetooth connectivity open up still more options, including audio streaming so you can jam along with your favourite songs straight from your mobile device. With an onboard tuner and pristine quality headphone output, the Darkglass ADAM is a game-changer for bass rehearsal, recording and live performance.

A touch of class. Always at the cutting edge, Nolly has equipped his Darkglass signature pedal's front panel with state-of-the-art controls. The EQ section features six ingenious, touch-sensitive sliders, each with a multi-coloured LED display for maximum accuracy. Likewise the five standard knob controls are surrounded by LED light rings (in addition to traditional white notches) ensuring you can keep track of your settings on the darkest of stages.
Even the channel-select footswitch buttons offer expanded options, with their push/rotate and dual-button-push functionality giving direct access to even more aspects of the pedal, while the control panel remains clean and uncluttered.
Connect, plug and play. As well as being indispensable as a live or recording tool, the Darkglass ADAM has an array of features that make it ideal for private home rehearsal. First, connect your phone, laptop, or mobile device via Bluetooth, or directly into the stereo 'Aux In' minijack connection. Then plug your bass into the input, and tune up, using the handy onboard tuner.
Dial in your effects settings, and choose your preferred cab simulation, then plug your headphones into the stereo 'Headphones' mini-jack. Set the volume with the independent headphones level knob, press play on your device, and you're away. Full-throttle, play-along bass practice, without the noise complaints!
Your cab, your way. As well as offering huge tone-shaping abilities, the ADAM also includes a comprehensive cab simulation circuit. It comes pre-loaded with five, superbly captured cab resonances, with the ability to bypass the feature entirely when going into a real amp.
However the exclusive Darkglass suite app offers an additional, ever-expanding library of additional impulse response cab tones. You can add your own favourite cab sounds to these, and upload them directly to the pedal, either by USB-C, or wirelessly via Bluetooth.
Easy-to-find options. With a pedal as in-depth as the Nolly ADAM, the sheer range of parameters to consider can sometimes be daunting. Luckily, Nolly has you covered, with a variety of presets covering the entire signal chain.
Once you've got the hang of each of the pedal's elements, you're free to tweak them to find your ideal sound, and with three independent, programmable channels, you've got every tone you'll need for a full set, available at the stomp of a footswitch.
Get it right at the source. Nolly knows from his second life as a top-tier producer and mixer, that the better the source sound, the better the outcome. That's why he included a side-chain multiband compressor in his signature pedal. This compressor works ONLY on your original, unaffected bass sound, and clamps down by differing amounts on different frequencies of your tone. This evens out any spiky jumps in volume, and helps to create a more pleasing end result as you use the blend knob to filter in just the right amount of your natural bass guitar tone.
