The Germanium transistor fuzz pedal is a classic design that has stood the test of time due to its musical fuzz sound. The KMA Machines Minos provides a modern take on this design and delivers modern features to provide a versatile addition to the world of germanium fuzz pedals. The Minos takes inspiration form the legendary Tonebender MKii and the Superfuzz pedals, refining their sound and providing even more versatility for you to exploit. It has a broader range of gain structures to find the exact sound you require.
Level matching capabilities
The Minos has independent input and output volume levels allowing you to blend the perfect amount of preamp gain and output level. The input level can be turned to the left for a crisp overdriven sound, or turned to the right for a woolly and saturated fuzz. The ANGER control affects the fuzz gain range, and can create a varied range of fuzz sounds from woolly or lo-fi jangle through to thick and angry tones.
Scintillating tonal sculpting
The Minos has a 3-way toggle to control the bass response, allowing you to tighten up the low-end should the saturation become too intense. A tone CUT dial allows you to tame any harsh high-end frequencies. These dials allow the Minos to adapt to your own rig, as all amplifiers and electric guitars respond differently in varying circumstances.
Hidden internal switches
Inside the Minos, two hidden trim-pots let you adjust the bias of the 2nd and 3rd transistors. This radically changes the character of the fuzz tone and (in KMA Machines' words) "may unleash the wrath of the Minotaur!".
