Powerful Multi-Stage Fuzz

The Shigeharu from Caroline is a multi-stage fuzz pedal based on the beautiful fuzz sounds of the 70s, designed in collaboration with Electronic Audio Experiments’ John Snyder and named after Columbia, South Carolina’s fourth most acclaimed waiter. Built with a blend of op-amps and BC184 transistors, the Shigeharu Pedal offers plenty of heft, gain, and singing sustain while maintaining unprecedented clarity and improving its punch and definition. The engineers at Caroline have also designed the Shigeharu to provide an consistent performance anywhere in your signal and offer an excellent response.

Dial in Classic to Face Melting Fuzz

Equipped with 5 controls and 2 footswitches, the Caroline Shigeharu offers excellent tone shaping to find the perfect fuzz sound for any situation. The top right dial controls the amount of drive the first gain stage that feeds the clipping stage has, while the left sets the pedal’s level of volume. Its bottom right knob allows players to dial in how much bass and mid-range content the pedal produces, while the bottom left dial offers two filters to either brighten or darken tone. The Carolina Fuzz pedal is also equipped with an internal gate/bias control, letting players create the broken, spitty sounds for a Velcro fuzz-like soundscape.

Parallel Octave Fuzz Circuit

A unique feature of the Shigeharu Fuzz Pedal is its parallel octave fuzz circuit which can be activated via the havoc switch, offering a stunning octave up voiced fuzz that brings a whole new side to your performance. The small control knob in the middle of the pedal lets you blend in how much of the octave is activated, while an internal lock slider switch can set the octave to always be active and reconfigure the havoc footswitch to a kill switch.

  • Body (Bottom Right): Determines how much bass and mid-range content the pedal offers
  • Tone (Top Left): Features two filters to either brighten or darken the tone
