It's not heavy? That's right. Unlike most tube amps, this model is lightweight and compact – but it doesn't sacrifice any tone. In fact, its sound is larger and louder than ever. Four EL84 output valves form the core of its voicing, belting out warm, punchy, supreme basslines like bolts of electricity. This means you can benefit from the superior tone of a valve amp combined with the portability and lightness of a solid state amp. This makes it incredibly easy to carry to gigs – and you won't ever have to compromise on sound.
Your tone, your hands. The responsive control dials let you dial in your ideal tone in an instant. The standard three band EQ is incredibly useful, letting you sculpt the frequencies of your basslines to suit your taste – and cut through the mix. Whether you want it warm and booming or tight and punchy, this amp will deliver. The drive knob lets you add an extra dimension to your bass's voice, helping you to determine how clean or dirty you want it to sound. The sensitivity switch also allows attunes the amp to active or passive pickups, so you can always get the best sound out of either. It's truly next level.
Then there's the feedback dial – the real star of the show. With this, you can dial in a sound reminiscent of old school vintage amps, or flip that on its head to dial in a completely modern tone. It changes the nature of the amp completely. There's also an FX loop for adding your own effects to the CTM 30's already stellar sound. You'll be able to get a myriad of sounds from your amp, and expand your musical horizons. A transformer isolated DI function, steel chassis casing, and ECC81, 82, and 83 preamp valves all top off this truly outstanding powerhouse of an amp.
