The white Graph Tech nut offers increased harmonics in the middle and upper frequency range perfect for a rich and detailed tone. Designed to optimize sustain and response the Graph Tech nut is also self-lubricating which means returning to the original pitch after string bends is extremely quick and accurate.
Gibson 496R & 500T Humbuckers
To match the striking Explorer body shape Gibson have installed two powerful humbucking pickups. Featuring a 500T Super Ceramic humbucker in the bridge the Explorer T produces a thick and crunchy rhythm tone with a thick bodied tone and even dynamic response. Additionally the 496R Hot Ceramic neck pickup produces high gain lead tones whilst retaining a crisp and bright tone perfect for screaming lead licks. Constructed from ceramic magnets and 4 conductor wiring the 496R and 500T humbuckers offer a responsive and detailed tone without any muddiness.
Tune-O-Matic Bridge
Tune-O-Matic bridges are an extremely popular fixed bridge type due to their stability, reliability, comfortable playing position and impressive sustain. Additionally adjusting the string action and intonation is extremely simple with a tune-o-matic bridge. Simply adjust the height of the bridge with the mounting rods to alter the action and screw in or out the bridge saddles to achieve perfect intonation.
