Warm and resonant maple shell

The 7-ply, 6mm maple shell provides a well-rounded tone with warmth and clarity. The layering process enhances resonance while keeping the shell lightweight and responsive. Whether tuned high for crisp attack or low for deep, punchy tones, this shell design ensures consistent sound quality.

Precision-cut bearing edges

Each drum features 45-degree bearing edges cut within 1/16'' from the outside edge. This design increases sustain and allows for a broad tuning range. The edges are hand-sanded for smoothness, ensuring easy head seating and precise tuning adjustments.

Enhanced stability with RFST technology

Radio Frequency Shell Technology (RFST) strengthens the shell using a time-tested bonding system. This process ensures even curing, making the drum durable and resistant to warping. Originally developed in the 1960s, it remains a key factor in the signature ''Ludwig Sound.''

Striking Nocturne Burst finish
