'Icarus' 14'' x 6.5'' Nicko Mcbrain Snare Drum is designed by Nicko Mcbrain with a strict no-compromise approach to ensure the highest possible quality in sound, feel and aesthetics. Hand-built in the UK, the 'Icarus' snare drum is constructed using a 10-ply black oak shell which undergoes a unique cold-press moulding process to maximise durability and sound quality. This shell is finished with a black fishtail oak veneer, providing an aesthetic reminiscent of a hand-hammered shell – but made from oak!

The 'Icarus' snare drum has a natural and warm sound with a full-bodied presence under high tension. With incredible versatility, the 'Icarus' snare is designed to powerfully cut through the high volumes of rock and metal while responding equally well to softer playing. This allows the tonal qualities of the oak wood shell to shine through in any musical situation.
