The Ibanez NDM4 is constructed with a basswood body for tonal versatility and a light weight playing feel. This makes it comfortable over long periods of playing and will allow you to sculpt the tone to wherever you prefer.
The maple neck adds additional brightness while the ebony fingerboard assists with low-end articulation and will help your riffs ring out with great definition.
Ibanez's own Super 9 pickups are inspired by the P90 pickup. This design is often seen as the "half-way" between single coils and humbuckers; it can deliver the nuance of a single coil with the bite of a humbucker. This means that the Ibanez NDM4 is capable of being pushed towards both ends of the clean/overdrive spectrum and will adapt to many different genres of music.
The 3-way pickup selector lets you create individual and combined coil tones, so you'll be able to create biting bridge-position sounds for rock rhythms, mellow neck-position sounds for clean chordal work, combined-coil bright tones for funky picking, and much more.
A single volume and tone control gives a simple yet powerful alteration over your final tone and will help you sculpt the overall level of power and brightness.
A fixed bridge is inherently more stable than a tremolo and it allows the guitar to ring with more sustain and resonance. The NDM4's fixed bridge provides 6-saddles to allow for individual string action/intonation adjustments, while the combination of a 3-pc neck and strong bolt-on joint will give you an incredibly stable platform for live performance, removing the worry of going out of tune.
A 22-fret medium-fret fingerboard gives a classic playing feel, with the 240mm radius providing the ideal balance between chordal comfort and easy soloing ability. The all-access neck joint is a modern touch which, when combined with the single cutaway body design, allows easy access across the whole fingerboard.
